I know, I know I haven't updated in FOREVER!! So I am about to do a little Catching up. I will up date on the kids when I catch up to February. The pictures below are from our Beach trip we took last August with Mimi, Papa, Mysti, Andrew and Caroline. We had an absolute Blast! We took our sitter who is practically part of our family and we loved having her with us. We stayed at a place that had a water slide and Peyton never wanted to leave the slide. He loved going crab digging with his daddy and Papa. We visited the race trac and he got to ride in the race car this year and next year he will be driving the car... yes, that is going to be scary! Bailey Jack loved the water! He loved riding in his little floaty around the lazy river. He also enjoyed his morning naps down by the beach under our tent. Wednesday, September 9, 2009

A "BIG" Boy!
Getting rid of the Pacifier was a very BIG deal for Peyton! He kept seeing advertisments for a water park and kept asking to go there so Bryan and I told him that if he threw his pacifiers in the trash and slept without them then we would take him. So, at the very end of July he FINALLY did it! We held our end of the bargain and Mimi, Papa, and Pops joined us for a weekend in Dallas at Hurrican Harbor. GG stayed behind to keep little brother and celebrate Nana's birthday. Peyton had a BLAST! His first ride was the Black hole and although he did not say one word the whole time going down the slide he will tell you it was his favorite. He was able to do about 5 of the bigger slides but he loved the pirate ship and the kids water park. He was definitely a little dare devil. He was a trooper and did not want to leave so yes we closed down the park at 8pm! Needless to say I had one little 3 year old who was pooped and it was not hard to get him to sleep that night.

Bailey Jack's Checkup

Dr. Terry King (Bailey Jack's Cardiologist)
We have had a very busy summer and I am looking forward to getting in a routine for the fall. Bailey Jack had his six week checkup back in July. I know I'm a little late....oops! Dr. King said that he is doing was doing very well and that he could resume all of his normal activities. He is growing like a little weed and is eating wal-mart out of their baby food section! He has gained 4lbs since the surgery, which is AMAZING! He is moving all over the place and keeping me on my toes. He was approved to start MDO in fall so I am very excited about this and I hope he does well. I will try to be a better blogger now that my children will be in school. YAY!

Fourth of July
We had a pretty slow Fourth this year. Unfortunately, Peyton ended up getting Strep throat. He had to have a shot first thing Friday morning but shortly after his shot his fever broke and he was feeling a little better by the afternoon. We had a great time with Mimi, Papa, GG, Pops, Aunt Emily and Uncle Jared! Papa got The Big green Egg for his Birthday and Bryan got to test it out on all the fourth of July food. I must admit his Ribs were pretty dang good. He claims that if I get him one that he would do a lot more cooking at home! Sounds pretty good to me! What do ya'll think?

"Sissy" Aunt Emily in the back as the Catcher and Bryan is doing the Pitching. Peyton absolutely LOVES Baseball!

Yes, Lake Claiborne has a Floatilla where boats come by and throw beads before the fireworks.

Peach Festival
Even though the Ruston Peach Festival was very hot this year that didn't seem to bother Peyton. He started off on Friday by attending the rodeo and then headed out eagerly on Saturday to the Parade. He tried to catch as much candy as he could possibly get in his bucket. Then he headed downtown to the rest of the activities to enjoy the petting zoo, the rock wall and some good ole peach ice cream. Bailey Jack was a trouper through the whole festival!! He was very facinated by the motorcycles in the parade and then he just took his seat in the back of the stroller and cruised around watching every move his
big brother made. I have to say I was very glad to see home after it was all over!

Another trip to the lake
As you can probably tell we spend a lot of time at the lake during the summer. Peyton has recently decided that he can swim with his floaties and life jacket all by himself. And thanks to Erin Rabb he is running and jumping off the side like a maniac! He is all about the double chair tube and the jet ski. He has a new favorite song..." Out last night" By Kenny Chesney. I'm not really sure how he picked up on it but here is the story..... We were in the car one day and Peyton said " Mommy, who is Gary"? I said " I don't know a Gary". Peyton said " You know Gary went out last night"! It is was pretty cute! So, now that is what he sings before he goes to sleep at nig

Update on Bailey Jack

Bailey Jack is doing very well since he has been home. He continues to make progress each day. He apparently was allergic to the lasix that he was on so as soon as we figured that out his little rash above his eye and on his face went away. We had an appointment with Dr. King last week and he said he looks fantastic. He had gained 7oz in 6 days which is the most he has ever gained so he now weighs 15lbs 12 oz!! YAY! He said he still has WPW which is an extra current in his heart and we will have to see a specialist in September and he will decide whether to go in and close it up. If they do have to close it they will more than likely go in through the groin area. Other than that he has finally gotten on his belly and is beginning to move around. He doesn't want to stay there for very long but each day he gets stronger and stronger. He is also really into dancing now! So, everytime you sing him a song he just goes to town with the dancing. It is super cute!!

Home Sweet Home
Bailey Jack's wagon ride....He grined and laughed the whole time.

This was two of his nurses Chris and Christy.
Peyton is helping me count to 3 to take the picture. We got released yesterday afternoon around 4pm. We really didn't know that we were going to be released because Bailey Jack pitched a fit getting out of the wagon and then I felt this popping around his chest. So, after several Drs. looked at it Dr. Jake came in and said that when he did that some of the lower cartilage came loose but it would be okay. Kind of scary but he said that he sees this often. He said that if it were higher then they would have had to another surgery to repair it. So, he is on close observation and minimal activity for a couple of days until he sees Dr. King on Friday. He seems to not be in as much pain as he was in yesterday so I think he is on the way to a full recovery. He is eating better than he has ever eaten and is getting more and more active as time goes on. We are very glad to be back home and can not believe that we got to come home after only 5 days! What a super star baby!! We really appreciate all your support and prayers through this process. Love, The Becks

Recovery Update #3
Bailey Jack did great while getting the chest tube out yesterday and they moved him to a semi private room. This is the step before leaving the hospital. As soon as he got in his room I snatched him up and we cuddled for a LONG time! Ahhhh.....there is nothing like holding your baby after a few days!! I am trying to get him on his old schedule today and get him worked up to eating about 6 oz per bottle. He is eating well and having great out put production. He is only connected to his leads for his heart. He is still a little tired but when we went down to get our final echo we had Becky again and he just lit up when he saw her. Flirting, kicking and smiling with her. She is great!! He is alseep right now and when he wakes up I will get some more pictures in his little crib. They are saying right now that if he continues to eat well then there is a chance that he will get to go home sometime this week! YAY! My Mom, Dad and Peyton will be traveling back to Ruston today and Bryan will be headed back this way after he takes care of some work there so keep them in your prayers as they travel through the day! Thanks again for all the support , prayers and comments. I read all of them to Bailey Jack. L

Peyton had an outing with the men while the girls plus Uncle Jared had lunch yesterday. He went to the Peabody to see the ducks march in and then to play on the playground there. Bryan said he had a BLAST!
